Our #beconnected2025 campaign is designed to get everyone talking about loneliness, sharing stories, exploring ways to find new connections and joining fun activities to support our work.
People often think loneliness just affects older people, but the age group most likely to experience loneliness is actually ages 16-24, closely followed by the 10-15 age group. That is why our campaign has activities and fundraising ideas to suit all schools.
But our campaign is not only for schools. It’s open to anyone who’d like to join the conversation or to fundraise for BEfriend – we will support you every step of the way, with campaign material, social media promotion and your own dedicated fundraising page.
Donate for FREE whilst you shop!
If you are shopping online, whether it’s your weekly grocery shop, booking a holiday or buying car insurance, you can support BEfriend without paying any extra! Easyfundraising.org.uk works with over 7000 retailers who have signed up to donate to charities.
All you need to do is sign up at Easyfundraising | BEfriend and confirm BEfriend as your chosen charity. If you download the donation reminder, every time you shop online with a qualifying retailer, you will be prompted to go through the Easy Fundraising website so BEfriend get a donation.

Leave a gift in your will
After you’ve taken care of the people closest to you, would you consider leaving a gift in your will to help us continue our vital work?
Your gift would help us to:
- Recruit and train more volunteers
- Ensure we reach those who are most isolated and in need of our support
- Develop and widen our services so we can help more people
Making or amending a will is easy to arrange with the help of a solicitor, and need not cost a lot of money. Your loved ones must come first, but once you’ve looked after those closest to you, leaving a gift to BEfriend could make a very real difference.
